DIMENSIONING:
a. Projection lines shall generally be of short distance, perpendicular to its dimension line and drawn as thin continuous lines.
b. Intersecting projection lines and dimen- sion lines shall be avoided wherever possible.
c. Dimension lines shall generally be unbroken except, in certain cases, for the insertion of a size.
d. Outline shall never be used as a dimension line, but may be used as a projection line.
e. Single dimensions, chain dimensions and parallel dimensions: Termination of dimension line shall be represented by oblique line, 45° anticlockwise from dimension line. Dimension shall be placed in between and above the dimension line.
f. Superimposed running dimensions: During superimposed running dimension, termination shall be represented by 90° arrowhead. And common point of running direction is represented by a dot surrounded by a circle. Dimension shall be placed near the arrowhead.
g. Units of Dimensioning shall not be provided, a note must be added starting the unit in which the dimensioning is expressed.
COLOURING THE PLAN:
The colours given above is of blue printing, and in dye-line printing existing work colour is represented as black outline, future work colour is represented as red filled in and other items colour is represented by same colour.
NUMBERING OF BUILDINGS AND PARTS OF BUILDINGS:
Designation Systems:
The designation for different parts of drawings should be executed in such a way that the drawing alone is sufficient to describe the item without the addition of words or initials. All project should be according to same principle.
Designation code:
Designation code consists of Principal designation and Additional designation.
Principal designation consist of text in full, abbreviation, other symmetrical designation and designation according to a general classfication and coding system.
Additional designation consist of
- for type designations, numerals and letters
- for individual designations, numerals or letters in running order.
